  1. Self-Extractor 0.90 beta 4 for WinImage

  4. This is a pre-release of a tools for creating Win32 Self-Extractor .EXE floppy image,
  5. using the WinImage 4.0 technology.
  6. It'll be integrated in WinImage 4.0 professional.
  7.  
  8. Self Extractor can now create legally redistributable .EXE.
  9. Ask me for a Self Extractor registration code if you are interested and don't want wait
  10. final version. You need a special WinImage registration code for this (a WinImage Professional
  11. code, see WIMA_VP4.TXT for more info), and enter this code on WinImage itself.

  14. How create a self-extractor file ?
  15. - Create a .IMZ or a .WLZ file with WinImage 3.0 or the 3.04.3040 beta
  16. - run sfxsetup.exe
  17. - in the first screen, select the .IMZ, .WLZ or .IMA file to open
  18. - in the second screen, select the .EXE file to create

  22. The file.exe you create can be used under Windows NT-x86, Windows 95 and
  23. Windows 3.1 with Win32s 1.30c installed.

  36. A:                                  Select writing on floppy and choose A: (or B:)
  37. /F :                                Format when write a floppy in command line operation
  38. /N:xx :                             When write a floppy, select number of set (xx is number>1)
  39. /X directory :                      Select file extraction, to directory
  40. /NI :                               Don't increment directory when file extraction selected
  41. /W:xxx :                            Writing image file xxx
  42. /H :                                Hide dialog
  43. /B :                                Stop reading command line (ignore option after)

  45. These options can be embedded on the .EXE with SFXSETUP.EXE, or when running the .EXE
  46. (the SFX run the embedded option first, and EXE command line after)
